Inflammable Material - Album in Review

SLFInflammableMaterial.jpg

This weeks album is the infamous "Inflammable Material" by Northern Irish band "Stiff Little Fingers", a band and an album who tackle what it's like to live through the Troubles in Northern Ireland head on. With many major bands and artists listing the album as their inspiration (Green Day for example) quality is assured.

Inflammable material was one of the best selling independent records ever, helping launch Stiff Little Finger's career.

This raw, gritty album really puts you back into the thick of the troubles - decades later. The stand out songs for me are "Suspect Device", "Wasted Life" , "Alternative Ulster" and "White Noise". All in all Inflammable Material is a timeless punk classic by a severely underrated band.
